Galactic, one of my absolute favorite bands, is playing at Amoeba Records on Haight for free tonight! If you're anywhere else at 7pm, you're outta your mind...
Of course there is more great stuff this week, so I'll be back in a day or three with more news. If you're seein' Stevie Wonder tonight hot damn! You're in for a treat. That would be the ONLY valid excuse for missing Galactic in my not-so-humble opinion.

Galactic w/ Gift of Gab @ Amoeba Records (7pm) - FREE
That's right kids, the band that defines the modern New Orleans funk rock sound, the band that sells out the Fillmore every time they come around, the band that features one of my favorite drummers in the world (Stanton Moore), is PLAYING AMOEBA FOR FREE. Gift of Gab, an outstanding MC and co-founder of Blackalicious, will join the boys to lend some hip-hop flavor for the set. These Amoeba gigs are never very long, so get there nice and early so you don't miss any of the action. Woot!
