This is badass funky dance music, played 100% LIVE by incredible
musicians. Drumbeats, basslines, melodies, and effects - it's all
whipped up right in front of you and I guarantee they can keep up with
those crazy record spinnin' people that the kids like so much. The New
Deal is a band I've been wanting to see for years, they almost never
come around. Tonight and tomorrow they're at the Independent, but
tonight the incredible one man beatbox live-looping army Kid Beyond
will be opening. I'm soooo there, and you should be too.

Hot Buttered Rum @ the Fillmore $20
This I believe is the first time Hot Buttered Rum has headlined the
Fillmore, so they're bound to make it something special. If there is a
young bluegrass band that has a such an amazing caliber of
musicianship and such incredible creative talent and energy, I sure as
hell haven't seen 'em. It'll be a heel kickin' good time, c'mon down
y'all!
