Well folks, here's another late-in-the-week McShow
comin' at ya full of funk.
The good ol' Boom Boom has managed to pull together
yet one more all-star weekend of funky music. Skerik,
one of the most captivating saxaphonists you will ever
see, is doing two nights on their little stage with a
band of greats behind him. You may have caught this
guy with Les Claypool, Garage A Trois, Critters
Buggin', Syncopated Taint, or any number of other
boundary-pushing bands. I've even seen him in a
saxaphone duel with Karl Denson and Skerik just may
have gotten the upper hand...
I haven't decided which night I'm going yet, what do
you think..?

Speakeasy Trio happy hour 6-9 @ House of Shields $FREE
It’s a VERY special Adam Willis funky happy hour.
Joining our man is the amazing keyboardist Wil Blades
and the guitar grooves of Patrick Greene from Swoop
Unit. I’ll see you there, slackers.
Beelzeboob (Skerik/Bolivar/Levy/Mercurio/Bernard) @
Boom Boom Room $20
Hot damn! If there is a more inventive sax player than
Skerik, I haven’t seen him. This man would be plenty
of show all by himself, but the all-star cast he’s
playing with this weekend is just ludicrous. It’s Eric
Bolivar (drums-Karl Denson), Eric Levy (keys-Garaj
Mahal), Robert Mercurio (bass-Galactic), and Will
Bernard (guitar-Motherbug). This should be completely
off the hook. I have to go one of the nights, who’s up
for it?
