If, however, you're more in the mood for some CRAZY jazz music, then I have a last minute invite for you. The BAD PLUS is an incredible trio, and they're playing at Yoshi's tonight and tomorrow night. I'm going tonight, not sure yet on 8pm or 10pm. Drop me a line if you want to join me. It really doesn't get much nastier than these cats. You've gotta see it to believe it.

The Bad Plus @ Yoshi's SF - $10-16
8pm and 10pm shows. It's probably impossible to categorize this jazz trio, but I'll see what I can do. Whether they're playing hugely expansive, powerful, and completely group-improvised original compositions, or systematically deconstructing songs like Tom Sawyer (Rush), Heart of Glass (Blondie), Ironman (Black Sabbath) or Chariots of Fire (huh?), they will not fail to completely captivate the entire room. The skill, dexterity, and telepathic creativity of these guys knows no bounds. They are truly a spectacle, and not to be missed. Seriously. If you're into it, lemme know pronto 'cause I'll be ordering tickets in a few hours and Yoshi's SF has assigned seats...
